Announcement of Heartland Coach Reece Robinson
It is with great pleasure to announce Reece Robinson as the new Wairarapa Bush Heartland Coach.
Reece Robinson was originally from Eketahuna and went to Tararua College where he was a Wairarapa Bush Under 16s, Under 18s and a Central and New Zealand Secondary Schools representative.
Reece continued his playing career with, Manawatu, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Chiefs and played 6 games for the Maori All Blacks (2000 to 2003).
Reece has been the Palmerston North Old Boys Marist Premier coach, winning the championship in 2017 and a losing finalist in 2022.
Reece has over the last five years been involved with the Manawatu Rugby Union which including coaching the Manawatu Development team and the Manawatu Under 19 team that finished 5th equal (Otago) at the National Under 19’s tournament 2016.
Reece will be returning back to the Wairarapa in early 2023 with his family to take up the role.
We wish Reece all the best for the forthcoming season and it is great to have a person of his experience to come back home and be part of the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union.
